Social Media Changes for Fall 2018 #MDLStayWorking

By Marion Martin

Owner, Martin Digital LLC | SEPT 6, 2018

We are changing our social media approach going forward. Our goal for the third quarter of 2018 is to focus more on providing value to our supporters. We have proven that we know how to fix phones, tablets, laptops, etc. We have been posting repair pictures for over a year and maintaining a 4.9 rating on our business’s Facebook page. Anyone who visits our website or social media pages can see that we know what we are doing. Anyone who talks with us can see that we know what we are talking about. Now it is time to give back.

New Posting Schedules

Going forward we will be making the following changes on our social media platforms:

  • Repair photos will be posted Friday 10am

  • Friday repair photos will be named “Repair of the Week”

  • Repair photos will only have a single watermark logo in the bottom right corner.

Facebook will be our business casual platform. The voice of this platform will be Martin Digital LLC.

The Facebook posting schedule will be:

Monday: New and Upcoming Tech announcements

Tuesday: Tech Tuesday (Gadget tips and tricks)

Wednesday: Company Updates/Behind the scenes at MDL

Friday: Repair of the Week

Instagram will be the informal/lifestyle platform. The voice of this platform will be Marion (Spot) as his role as Owner of Martin Digital LLC and a tech lover. These posts will coincide with Facebook posts but will add personal tech posts.

The Instagram posting schedule will be:

24/7 personal gadget posts: Tech of the day, Camera tests, tips/tricks, techie lifestyle, etc

Monday: New and Upcoming tech announcements

Tuesday: Tech Tuesday (Gadget tips and tricks)

Wednesday: Day in the life

Friday: Repair of the week

These changes are being made to establish us as a brand that is known for giving back to the community that supports us. We want to be trusted and remembered outside of selling you repairs and accessories. We would rather not be remembered for being the company that is always trying to sell you something. We have knowledge and insights that can be given away for free to help make your life with tech better, cheaper, and help make you the most tech savvy person at the watercooler.

We have plans to expand into Twitter, LinkdIn, and YouTube, but we are still working through the details.
